Highlights:
• Snapchat now available on Apple Watch for message previews and replies
• Users can respond using Scribble, Dictation, or emojis
• Lens Studio now accessible on iOS and web for creating AR Lenses
Snapchat is making it easier to stay connected across more devices. The social media platform has launched a dedicated app for the Apple Watch, allowing users to preview incoming messages and respond using Scribble, voice Dictation, or emojis. While the app doesn’t support sending Snaps or full messaging yet, it offers a convenient way to stay in touch on the go.
In a recent newsroom update, Snapchat emphasized its growing user base of over 900 million and the increasing number of devices people use daily. With that in mind, the Apple Watch app is part of Snapchat’s broader push to be available everywhere. The app requires watchOS 9.0 or later and works as an extension of the existing iPhone experience—letting users quickly reply to messages right from their wrist.
It’s worth noting that similar features were previously possible through mirrored notifications from the iPhone, but this dedicated app adds a more streamlined and native experience.
Alongside the Apple Watch launch, Snapchat has also made its Lens Studio app available on iOS and the web. Previously only accessible on desktops, Lens Studio now enables iPhone users to create and publish custom AR Lenses right from their devices. These tools include AI-powered effects, Bitmoji integrations, and other features that let creators bring their vision to life.
While the desktop version remains the go-to for professional developers, the new mobile and web tools are aimed at making lens creation more accessible for everyone. The Lens Studio app is free to download from the App Store, and the web version is available at [lensstudio.snapchat.com](https://lensstudio.snapchat.com).
