Samsung Tri-Fold Smartphone Launch Timeline Unveiled for 2025

Samsung aims to make big changes in 2025 by growing its S-Series lineup and introducing as many as four foldable devices. One of these is a much-talked-about tri-fold smartphone, which seems to take cues from the Huawei Fold Mate XT, and is expected to be available in small numbers. Recent news states that this device will come out with the other foldables in the third quarter of 2025, probably between July and September.

Samsung Tri-Fold Smartphone Launch Timeline

Samsung's next Tri-Fold smartphone will have a new way to unfold that aims to keep the flexible screen safe when folded. At first, Samsung wanted to make 300,000 units of this new phone, but recent news shows that the goal has changed to about 200,000 units.
Samsung's new Tri-Fold phone is likely to have the Exynos 2500 chip, combined with a new folding system for adjustable screen size. Notably, this phone will lack an under-display camera. Reports say Samsung has told important parts suppliers that when fully open, the screen will be just under 10 inches. The phone's design is nearing the final phase of development.

According to the company’s roadmap for foldable devices, Samsung’s Tri-Fold smartphone is expected to get launched within the same timeline. This year, Samsung is expected to release four foldable devices: Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, Galaxy Z Flip FE, and the highly awaited Tri-Fold smartphone.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 will maintain the same design and shape as their predecessors but will integrate certain enhancements with regard to design and functionality. At the same time, however, the Galaxy Z Flip FE will cut costs by focusing on delivering essential features.

Samsung is gearing up to launch the Galaxy S25 Slim as part of the Galaxy S25 Series at its first Unpacked Event of 2025, happening tomorrow. In addition to the Slim model, the lineup will include three other variants: the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus, and Galaxy S25 Ultra.
