OPPO has officially confirmed that its next flagship smartphones — the OPPO Find X9 and Find X9 Pro — will launch in India on November 18th, following their global debut. The new lineup promises big upgrades in design, imaging, and performance, and will go head-to-head with other late-2025 Android flagships like the OnePlus 15, Vivo X300, iQOO 15, and Realme GT8 Pro.
OPPO Find X9 Series: What to Expect
The Find X9 series aims to blend flagship-level performance with professional-grade imaging. Powering both models is MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 chipset, a top-tier processor that focuses on power efficiency and AI-driven imaging performance.
Both phones are expected to feature 6.59-inch and 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED displays with adaptive high refresh rates for smoother visuals and power savings. The design language also gets a refresh — OPPO has gone for a flat-edge frame with a rounded rectangular camera module, setting it apart from its predecessors.
Battery life looks impressive too: the global variants pack 7,000mAh+ batteries, giving OPPO a strong edge over rivals like the Vivo X300 series, which caps out at 6,150mAh.
LUMO Image Engine: The Next Step in Mobile Photography
The headline feature of the Find X9 lineup is OPPO’s new LUMO Image Engine, a next-generation imaging system designed to deliver realistic, natural-looking photos. The technology made its debut with the Find X8 Ultra earlier this year and combines advanced optics, AI-based colour science, and sensor-level processing for lifelike results.
LUMO works hand-in-hand with the Dimensity 9500’s Imagiq NPU and ISP, which handle real-time depth, motion, and colour analysis. This ensures portraits look crisp, bokeh appears natural, and colours remain true to life across different lighting conditions.
The LUMO Engine also integrates with OPPO’s ProXDR ecosystem, preserving image accuracy across capturing, editing, and sharing — a major plus for photographers and content creators who demand professional-grade consistency.
Camera System: Co-Engineered with Hasselblad
While OnePlus has moved away from Hasselblad for its flagship phones, OPPO is keeping that partnership alive. The Find X9 Pro features a Hasselblad-tuned triple-camera system, including a massive 200MP telephoto lens and dual 50MP wide and ultra-wide sensors.
The standard Find X9 also doesn’t lag behind — it packs a triple 50MP setup with:
• 50MP Sony LYT-808 main camera (f/1.6, OIS)
• 50MP ultra-wide lens (f/2.0)
• 50MP Sony LYT-600 telephoto lens (f/2.6, OIS)
On the front, there’s a 32MP Sony IMX615 selfie camera, ideal for selfies, vlogs, and crisp video calls.
These camera systems make the Find X9 lineup one of the most capable photography phones of 2025 — particularly appealing to users who value natural colours and balanced exposure over heavy post-processing.
Performance, Competition, and Pricing
With the Dimensity 9500 SoC, OPPO is positioning the Find X9 series as a true flagship that balances raw performance, AI imaging, and battery endurance.
In India, pricing is expected to start between ₹70,000 and ₹80,000, placing it in the same bracket as the OnePlus 15, Vivo X300 Pro, and iQOO 15.
• Photographers and content creators may find the Find X9 series particularly compelling thanks to LUMO’s realistic image output.
• Gamers, on the other hand, may prefer alternatives like the iQOO 15 or Realme GT8 Pro, which offer slightly higher GPU optimization and gaming-centric features.
Why OPPO’s LUMO Engine Could Be a Game-Changer
With smartphone photography becoming increasingly software-driven, OPPO’s focus on its LUMO Image Engine signals a clear shift from competing on specs to competing on innovation.
If OPPO manages to deliver on its promise of true-to-life images and superior battery endurance, the Find X9 series could emerge as one of 2025’s most well-balanced Android flagships — and a serious rival to established camera-centric brands like Vivo and Samsung.
