Design and Display Enhancements
The Find N5 is wider and taller than its predecessor, the Find N3, and features an ultra-slim design:
- 4.2 mm thick when unfolded
- 9.x mm thick when folded
The no-crease display, although not completely seamless as some users have pointed out, still represents a major improvement over existing foldables. OPPO has made significant strides in reducing the visible crease, addressing a key issue that has plagued foldable devices.
Performance and Hardware
Under the hood, the OPPO Find N5 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset with a 7-core architecture. The device will feature:
- 6.85-inch LTPO main display with 1.5K resolution
- Large cover display for seamless usability
- 50MP primary camera, 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a periscope telephoto camera
For power, it supports:
- 80W wired fast charging
- 50W wireless charging
- Reverse wireless charging
Global Launch and OnePlus Rebranding
After its initial launch in China, the Find N5 has received global certifications from regulatory bodies such as NBTC and SIRIM, confirming an international release. Interestingly, the device will be rebranded as the OnePlus Open 2 for global markets, continuing OPPO and OnePlus’ trend of sharing premium foldable technology.
Final Thoughts
With its industry-first IPX9 water resistance, refined foldable display, and powerful hardware, the OPPO Find N5 is shaping up to be one of the most advanced foldable smartphones yet. As it makes its debut in February 2025, it will set new benchmarks for durability and performance in the foldable segment.
